29.9.2010 • Helena Meloni invited to speak about reporting
Project manager Helena Meloni was invited to speak at the Conference of the IBPP/EU-Russia Cultural Co-operation Initiatives on 1.10.2010 in Moscow about the practical approach to narrative reporting and the best working practices within Seeds of Imagination. This conference is organized as a kick-off for the new grantees of the program.
12.9.2010 • Russian theatre professionals attended drama reading of Little Money in Moscow
One of Finland´s most popular new drama texts, Sirkku Peltola´s Little Money was read at the Lyubimovka New Drama Festival in Moscow on 11.9.2010 at Theatre.doc.
Lyubimovka festival, founded in 1990, is an independent non-commercial initiative by Russian playwrights, which is aimed at bringing together theatre experts and new generation playwrights and to bring up new texts for theatre. The jury chooses approximately 20 plays from all the texts sent to the competition. This year the amount of received new plays were 250. Four new foreign texts were chosen: two English, one Polish and one Finnish.
The staged reading was rehearsed by the young Moscow director Ruslan Malikov, and the translation from Finnish into Russian is done by Anna Sidorova.
